Initial Challenges
- Quill wanted to relocate to a new office to create the modern, open workspace they needed—moving away from their traditional layout.
- A tight timeline required the completion of a buildout within five months to avoid disruptions to business operations.
- The project demanded extensive collaboration between Quill and Bradford Allen’s design, construction, and engineering professionals.
- The compressed schedule posed logistical challenges, as the buildout involved significant customization. Supply chain issues, including a global shortage of upholstery foam and limited furniture options, required creative solutions to meet budget and timing constraints.
BA Solutions
- BA worked with Quill to secure a 58,000-square-foot space tailored to their operational and cultural needs, while maintaining their presence in Lincolnshire.
- Collaborating with Interworks, the design partner, the team developed a modern office layout featuring open spaces, 25 huddle rooms, a “town hall” for events, and an outdoor terrace.
- Construction was executed by Naleway Construction, who worked diligently to meet the tight five-month deadline, accommodating design elements like extensive glass installations and modern finishes.
- Furniture solutions were identified and secured in partnership with Interior Investments, overcoming supply chain challenges to ensure timely delivery of high-quality, budget-appropriate options.
- Frequent site visits and open communication between BA, Quill’s leadership, and project partners ensured real-time feedback and efficient resolution of challenges, keeping the project on schedule and aligned with Quill’s vision.
“The team at Bradford Allen really stepped up to help us. They really worked hard to remove the barriers and they were a great partner in terms of helping us solve problems.”
– Mark E. Roszkowski
